Social responsibility will be guaranteed space at CQCS Insurtech & Innovation 2020. As in the previous edition, young people and special adults, who are part of the Efficient Attendant Program (PAE), will welcome visitors during the most important innovation meeting in Latin American insurance companies. The program aims to offer opportunities for the inclusion of young people with Down Syndrome (DS) in the job market. The non-profit association was created in early 2018 by parents and volunteers who organize actions that enable them to expand their access to professional activities compatible with their capacity, knowledge and potential.
“This is an efficient attendant program, among which activities include badge reading, congressional reception, gift giving and microphone delivery. People are delighted when they see them working, ”says Maria Clélia, the entity's president. According to her, the idea came up a few years ago, with an international Zoo event that wanted to do something 100% environmentally friendly. "At the time, I suggested I take an inclusive format, hiring young people with Down syndrome from a school where my son was." After a while, the project was eventually adapted until it reached the current format. Today, in addition to the children of the volunteer parents who run the association, they are also part of the team of Young Effective Attendants from other institutions, including the Association for the Integral Development of Down (ADID). PAE's work also involves a partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute (IMREA) of the USP School of Medicine - Lucy Montoro Foundation and the Brazilian Association of Event Companies (ABEOC-SP), which enable young people to work in this segment.
