Shanil Williams, Global Head Financial Lines of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), confirms his participation in CQCS Insurtech & Innovation, the largest insurance innovation event in Latin America that takes place on November 23rd and 24th in São Paulo. The executive’s base of action is in Munich and he has been developing work that seeks to align the most urgent environmental, social and governance issues (ESG) and which should be on the agenda to discuss and think about how companies can also mitigate risks in the cyber risks.
The founder of CQCS, Gustavo Doria Filho, revealed that after the cyber attacks that took place with Lojas Renner and Mapfre, he started to research the greatest authority on the subject that could discuss the topic at the event. “After researching and talking to some people, Shanill was nominated and, with the support of Allianz Brasil, we managed to get him to accept to participate in our event”, he revealed.
According to Munich Re’s Global Cyber Risk and Insurance Survey (2021), the global cyber insurance market is likely to reach a value of approximately $20 billion by the year 2025.
In Brazil alone, the collection of cyber risk insurance reached BRL 64.352 million from January to August this year, in Brazil, indicating an increase of 161.3% compared to the same period in 2020, when the revenue was BRL 24.216 millions.
