The CQCS Insurtech & Innovation 2020, as well as already being the most relevant meeting of insurance innovation in Latin America, will also be the most sustainable.

This will be supported by Casa Cause, a company that researches andimplements solutions to help people and organizations rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle their waste.

The goal is for the next edition of the meeting to leave behind a zero junk event. “Sustainability is not an option, it is a necessit. An innovation event is necessarily connected with the future and our future is the constant search for practices that help regenerate the planet and seek healthier and fairer living conditions. ”, Believes Gustavo Doria Filho, founder of CQCS.

To achieve this goal a series of initiatives will be developed. Thefirst step is a technical visit to the space where the meeting willtake place to plan the entire operation, aiming to minimize waste generation and define the collection and forwarding model.

Even before the event, actions will be taken to enlighten and raiseawareness by sending a ‘Zero Waste Event Manual’ to sponsors and exhibitors, as well as activating social media on the subject for visitors.

In parallel, there will be training with exhibitors, production andcleaning teams and talks with sponsors on the theme of zero waste. During the meeting, a model will be in operation that will ensure the best possible use of all waste, since the goal zero waste is to send to landfills a maximum of 10% of all material discarded duringthe event.

Signposted collection stations will accommodate not only the separation of recyclables, but also the collection of organics, which make up over 50% of the waste we generate and can return to nature. A specialized team will monitor the entire operation and will act in the environmental education of visitors and exhibitors. In the end,the destination of the material will involve cooperatives and collectors, contributing to social inclusion.
All of this will be recorded in a report of the Solid Waste Management results of the CQCS Insurtech & Innovation event, showing that it is possible for such an event to act responsibly in relation to the environment. “It is essential to put in place alternatives and technologies for zero waste and to encourage more and more events to pursue this goal. We are responsible for our impact. ”Comments Flávia Cunha, partner of Casa Cause.
“Sustainability is good for everyone. I'm counting on you all to build a better and cleaner future. ”Concludes Gustavo Doria Filho.
